Frequently Asked Questions
What is mobile phlebotomy?
Mobile phlebotomy is a service where a trained professional travels to your location to collect blood samples for laboratory testing. This service is designed to be convenient for patients who may have difficulty visiting a lab.
What happens to my blood samples after collection?
After collection your samples will be securely transported to our partner laboratory for analysis. You will receive your results through your preferred method of communication within 48 hours. However, specialized test may take a little longer.
Who can use mobile phlebotomy services?
Mobile phlebotomy services are available to anyone needing blood tests.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment through the Appointment Tab where our services are listed. Once you select your desired service, you will be redirected to a booking website where you will choose your appointment type, time and location along with your contact information. Appointments require payments to secure and are non-refundable. Patients are allowed to reschedule once within 24-hours of their original appointment. You are permitted to reschedule your appointment once at no additional charge. However, if you do not show up for that appointment, you will need to book and pay for another one.
What should I do to prepare before my appointment?
Depending on the type of test, you may need to fast. If fasting is required, you need to do so for 8–12 hours prior to your appointment. All blood tests require an order form from the doctor. You must have a printed paper copy of your order.
What can I expect during the visit?
A certified phlebotomist will arrive at your location, verify your identity with your license or state ID, and explain the process. The blood draw typically takes just a few minutes.
What are the costs associated with mobile phlebotomy?
Our collection fee is an out-of-pocket flat rate based on the service provided to you and is separate from the test cost. Tests cost may vary based on your insurance coverage and the lab they get processed in.
Can I request specific tests?
Blood tests need to be ordered through a doctor to ensure you receive the appropriate tests based on your health needs. However, if you prefer, you can also visit lab websites to order specific tests directly and pay out of pocket. This option allows you more flexibility in choosing the tests you want.
